R. Buckminster Fuller, the visionary architect who coined phrases such as ‘do more with less’ and ‘don’t oppose forces, use them’ has informed and impacted the design and ethos behind Studio Zung.

Thomas T.K. Zung, who worked for Eero Saarinen and Edward Durell Stone and designed buildings such as the Kennedy Center, ultimately partnered with R. Buckminster Fuller at Buckminster Fuller, Sadao and Zung Architects. Growing up around uncompromising, accomplished architects and artists informed Tommy Zung’s and Studio Zung’s view that architecture is not a rote profession. The duty of being a benefactor cannot be underestimated in its significance and power. Studio Zung’s designs are not only thoughtful towards the client’s needs but they are the very best in modern, sustainable design. When homes and buildings are able to run more efficiently, and the building process produces less waste, all benefit. A structure that is built to last is one that makes a statement.
